There are various reasons why single-phase deceleration motors often burn out. Below, I will introduce some common reasons in detail.

1. Overload: One of the most common reasons is that the motor is overloaded during operation. The rated load of a motor is the maximum load it is designed to withstand. If the load borne by the motor during continuous operation exceeds its rated load, it will cause the motor to overheat and eventually burn out.
2. Long term operation: If the motor runs continuously for too long, it will cause the motor to overheat. When the motor is working, it generates a lot of heat. If there is not enough time for the motor to cool down, it will cause overheating. Therefore, appropriate rest and cooling time are crucial for the normal operation of the motor.
3. Overvoltage or undervoltage: When designing a motor, its rated voltage range is specified. If the motor operates at excessively high or low voltage for a long time, it may cause overheating and possible damage to the motor.
4. Motor insulation damage: The insulation system of the motor is designed to protect the coils inside the motor from damage such as arcing and electric shock. If the insulation system is damaged, current may pass through the insulation layer and cause the motor to burn out.
Other aspects:
High ambient temperature: The high ambient temperature combined with the heat generated by the motor itself causes the motor temperature to rapidly rise.
Motor quality issues:
Poor insulation of the winding, improper insulation treatment during manufacturing, poor materials, and easy breakdown and short circuit of the winding during operation.
Poor quality of the iron core, poor magnetic conductivity, or loose stacking can increase iron loss and cause the motor to heat up, and in severe cases, burn out.
