In the process of selecting a reducer, several important parameters are usually involved, including the reducer's reduction ratio, output speed, matching motor power, and output mode.

1、 Concept of Reduction Ratio
The transmission ratio of the deceleration device is a type of transmission ratio, which refers to the ratio of the instantaneous input speed to the output speed in the deceleration mechanism, represented by the symbol "i".
If the input speed is 1500? r/min, What is the output speed? At 25r/min, the reduction ratio is i=60:1. Abbreviated as 60.
Generally, the reduction ratio of a reduction mechanism is labeled as the actual reduction ratio, but some special reducers such as cycloidal reducers or harmonic reducers sometimes use rounding to obtain the whole number without the denominator. For example, the actual reduction ratio may be 28.13, but when labeled, it is generally labeled as 28. That's 28 to 28.
2、 Calculation method of reduction ratio
1. Define the calculation method:
Reduction ratio=input speed ÷ output speed.
2. General calculation method:
Reduction ratio=Used torque ÷ 9550 ÷ Motor power × Motor power input speed ÷ Usage coefficient.
3. Calculation method for gear system:
Reduction ratio=number of teeth on the driven gear ÷ number of teeth on the driving gear (If it is a multi-stage gear reduction, then multiply the number of teeth on the driven gear ÷ number of teeth on the driving gear of a pair of gear sets that mesh with each other to obtain the result of?)
4. Calculation method for reduction ratio of belts, chains, and friction wheels: Reduction ratio=driven wheel diameter ÷ driving wheel diameter.
3、 The relationship between motor output torque and motor speed and power.
1. Formula:
T=9550P/n
This formula is a commonly used calculation formula for the relationship between torque, power, and speed in engineering.
In the formula: T - torque: 9550- constant (no need to investigate its source); P - Power of motor (KW); N - Output speed (RPM/min)
What should be noted? When calculating torque through a reducer, the factor of gear transmission efficiency loss should be considered.
2. Formula for calculating servo motor torque:
T=F * R * reduction ratio.
The example drives an object weighing 100kg, R=50mm, What is the torque of the servo motor when the reduction ratio is 1:50? Answer: 100x9.8 (gravitational acceleration) x0.05x0.02=1.98N M
4、 Formula for calculating the torque of the gearbox
1. Speed ratio:
Speed ratio=motor output speed ÷ reducer output speed (also known as "gear ratio")
2. Know the motor power, speed ratio, and usage factor. The formula for calculating the torque of the gearbox is as follows:
Gearbox torque=9550 x motor power ÷ motor power input speed x speed ratio x service factor
3. Knowing the torque, output speed of the gearbox, and usage coefficient, calculate the required motor power for the gearbox? The following formula:
Motor power=torque ÷ 9550 × motor power input speed ÷ speed ratio ÷ service factor
