In the selection of the reducer, pay attention to what influencing factors are key, it is mainly divided into the following points:
First, overload is strictly prohibited. The maximum instantaneous or starting load applied to the reducer shall not exceed 150% of the rated load carrying capacity of the reducer. Note: The rated load carrying capacity of the reducer is the rated power value shown in this selection guide. If the actual maximum instantaneous or starting load exceeds the above conditions, a severe overload equivalent input power is calculated by dividing the maximum overload by 2. The selected reducer must have a rated load carrying capacity equal to or greater than the equivalent input power.
Second, the starting frequency. The frequency of starting is a very important factor when making reducer selection. Applications with 2 to 3 equal interval starts per hour must use a minimum no-load start condition factor of 1.5 and a minimum full-load start condition factor of 1.75.
Third, when a brake is installed and the brake is located between the prime mover and the reducer, the reducer should be selected based on the greater of the brake rating or the highest equivalent input power.
Fourth, in the selection of large industrial gear box, should also consider the actual thermal capacity, the actual thermal capacity is a reducer continuous operation for 3 hours or more and does not occur in the case of overheating thermal capacity.
