Overview of Worm Gear Reducer
Worm gear reducer is a power transmission mechanism that uses the speed converter of worm gear to reduce the rotation of the motor to the desired rotation and obtain a larger torque. It is mainly composed of transmission components such as worm gears, shafts, bearings, housings, and their accessories. It can be seen in the transmission systems of various types of machinery, from ships, cars, locomotives in transportation, heavy machinery used in construction, processing tools and automated production equipment used in the machinery industry, to common household appliances, clocks and so on in daily life The application of reducers can be seen from the transmission of large power to small loads and precise angle transmission. In industrial applications, reducers have the functions of reducing speed and increasing torque. Therefore, it is widely used in speed and torque conversion equipment.

Selection method of worm gear reducer
(1) Determine the model and size of the required gearbox;
(2) Determine the reduction ratio and choose a reduction ratio that is as close to the ideal as possible. The calculation method for the ratio is: reduction ratio=motor speed (standard speed 1400)/reducer output shaft speed;
(3) Determine the torque (power) of the gearbox: Torque is crucial for the lifespan of the gearbox, and attention should be paid to whether the maximum torque value of the accelerator exceeds the maximum load torque of the gearbox;
(4) Determine the direction of the input and output shafts: The reducer has horizontal and vertical types, and the direction of the output and input shafts is: L direction: single input and single output, the right end is the input shaft, and the front is the output shaft; R direction: single in single out, left input shaft, positive output shaft; V direction: single input and double output, with the left input shaft and double output shaft on the front/back side; W direction: left and right dual input single output input shafts, positive output; F direction: dual input and dual output, input shaft at both ends, front/back output.
(5) Determine the size of the input hole and input flange;
(6) Determine the size of the output hole or output shaft;
(7) Check if other accessories are needed, such as torsion arms, output flanges, single and double axis outputs, etc.
