Working principle
The planetary gearbox is mainly composed of components such as the sun gear, planetary gear, inner ring gear, and planetary carrier. The sun gear is located at the center position, surrounded by multiple planet gears that mesh with both the sun gear and the internal gear ring. The planet gears are installed on the planet carrier. When power is input to the sun gear, the sun gear drives the planetary gear to rotate around its own axis, while the planetary gear revolves along the inner gear ring, outputting power through the planetary carrier, thereby achieving the functions of deceleration and torque amplification.
Structural characteristics
Small size and light weight: Due to the use of planetary gear system structure, multiple planetary gears are evenly distributed around the sun gear, which can share the load. Compared with traditional reducers, planetary reducers can greatly reduce the volume and weight while transmitting the same power, making installation and use easier.
High transmission efficiency: The gear meshing method of planetary reducers is relatively reasonable, with low tooth contact stress and friction loss. Generally, the transmission efficiency can reach 90% -98%.
Wide range of transmission ratios: By changing the number of teeth on the sun gear, planetary gear, and inner ring gear, it is easy to achieve a wide range of transmission ratios. Generally, single-stage transmission ratios can be between 3-10, and after multi-stage combination, transmission ratios can reach hundreds or even higher.
Strong load-bearing capacity: Multiple planetary gears simultaneously mesh with the sun gear and inner ring gear, resulting in even load distribution. Each gear bears a relatively small load, allowing the planetary gearbox to withstand greater torque and power.
