Both planetary gear reducers and worm gear reducers may experience malfunctions during long-term use. Gearbox malfunction refers to various problems that occur during the use of the gearbox, which may cause the gearbox to malfunction or decrease in performance. If the gearbox cannot work, it is generally caused by the failure of some parts that make up the gearbox.

Oil leakage fault
Oil leakage fault is one of the very common gearbox faults. The gearbox requires lubricating oil during operation to reduce friction between gears and other moving parts, and to help dissipate heat. During operation, there may be a situation where lubricating oil leaks from the inside of the gearbox to the outside.
The main reasons for oil leakage faults are: firstly, improper assembly. When assembling the main shaft and transmission mechanism, the accuracy of the alignment is not high, resulting in wear of the oil seal and bearing, leading to leakage; The second reason is that the O-ring on the mating surface and the mating surface have been damaged; Thirdly, the oil seal at the end of the output shaft of the reducer is damaged, or the outer circumference of the fixing ring is greatly damaged; The fourth issue is that the screws connecting the surface are loose; Fifthly, the engine oil contains a large amount of impurities, which can accelerate the aging of the engine oil; The sixth reason is that the amount of lubricating oil is too large, which will generate high agitation temperature during operation, ultimately leading to oil leakage from the sealed parts.
The maintenance methods include: firstly, multiple calibrations of the joints to ensure correct positioning, and updating the rubber seals of the frame; Secondly, adjust according to specific needs; The third is to replace the new oil seal, or remove or even replace the original fixing ring; Fourthly, ensure the proper connection between screws and spring washers; The fifth is to thoroughly remove the aged oil, clean the equipment, and replace the engine oil and engine oil; The sixth is to add the appropriate amount of oil according to the specified oil level on the fuel gauge, and adjust the oil level reasonably. There must be no excessive phenomenon.
Overheating of gearbox
Overheating of a gearbox refers to the phenomenon of overheating that occurs when the gearbox is operated under overload for a long time, with insufficient lubrication, poor heat dissipation, improper assembly, and other conditions. Overheating of the gearbox not only accelerates the aging of lubricating oil, but may also cause damage to parts.
The solution includes: firstly, ensuring that the gearbox operates according to the maximum load limit specified by the manufacturer to avoid overloading; Secondly, regularly check the condition of lubricating oil, including oil level, color, viscosity, etc., and add or replace lubricating oil as needed; Thirdly, provide good ventilation conditions for the gearbox to ensure the normal operation of the cooling system; Fourthly, during the installation of the gearbox, strictly follow the manufacturer's instruction manual for correct installation and debugging, ensuring that all components are in optimal condition.
