Because for precision equipment such as reducers, frequent disassembly and inspection can cause deviations in the fit surface between bearings and bearing seats, gear clearance, axial positioning, and the flatness of the sealing surface of the housing, making it difficult to maintain the factory standards.

Structure of gearbox
Daily inspection and maintenance of the gearbox mainly involves checking the important components of the gearbox. Therefore, it is necessary to understand the structure of the gearbox before inspection.
Methods for inspecting gearboxes
Check if there is any leakage or dripping in the gearbox, and if the lubricating oil is replaced in a timely manner;
Check if there are any abnormal vibrations and high temperatures during the operation of the gearbox;
Check for noise and abnormal sounds during the operation of the gearbox.
Check the temperature rise of the core component bearings of the reducer, which can be measured by hand or with a simple temperature measuring pen. Generally, the temperature rise of the lubricating oil should not exceed 35 degrees, and the temperature rise of the bearings should not exceed 40 degrees. If it is abnormal, the machine should be stopped for maintenance.
To check the vibration of the core component bearings of the gearbox, a simple vibration measuring pen can be used to measure the vibration velocity at the bearing seat. Generally, the vibration velocity is measured in three directions: axial, vertical, and horizontal.
Check the lubricating oil level of the gearbox using a dipstick, transparent window oil gauge, etc. When the lubricating oil turns white, black, or turbid, it should be replaced in a timely manner.
Check the ventilation plug, ventilation hood, and air filter for dirt accumulation. If there is, it needs to be cleaned regularly;
Regularly open the inspection holes of the gearbox to observe the meshing condition of the gears, such as tooth wear, pitting, abrasion, bonding, etc. The cover plate of the inspection holes is fixed to the box cover with screws.
When conducting daily inspections of the gearbox, it is recommended to check the temperature, noise, and oil leakage of the gearbox casing every day.
Every 3 months, it is recommended to check the filter element of the gearbox lubricating oil filter, clean the ventilation cap, and replace the lubricating oil at the high-speed shaft oil seal.
