Worm gear reducer overheating and oil leakage
The worm gear reducer adopts sliding friction transmission. During the meshing process of the worm gear and worm, especially during overload operation, the increase in friction will cause the temperature to rise, resulting in differences in thermal expansion between the various parts and seals of the worm gear reducer, thus creating gaps on the mating surfaces. The oil becomes thinner due to the increase in temperature, which can easily cause leakage.

If the wear rate of the worm gear is fast, it may be due to improper selection of the reducer, overloading, or poor material, assembly quality, or usage environment of the worm gear, which may seriously affect the efficiency and stability of the entire transmission system.
