Structure of permanent magnet brushed DC motor
The magnetic DC motor mainly consists of a casing, stator, rotor, mechanical commutator, shaft, front and rear end caps, bearings, etc. The stator is composed of permanent magnet poles embedded or pasted inside the casing.

a. The casing is a component that supports the weight of the entire motor, and the permanent magnet poles are embedded or attached to the circular wall inside the casing, forming the stator of the motor. The casing is also the magnetic conductor of the stator permanent magnet magnetic pole circuit. The casing of W-grade miniature permanent magnet DC brushed motors is mostly made of low-carbon steel material, while the casing and front and rear end caps of KW grade permanent magnet DC brushed motors can be cast iron or welded from low-carbon steel sheets.
b. In order to reduce additional losses, the rotor core of a permanent magnet DC brushed motor is made of stacked silicon steel sheets with a thickness of 0.35mm to 1.0mm, and rotor slots are punched out on the core. The rotor slot is embedded with windings and connected to a mechanical commutator. The mechanical commutator continuously and regularly changes the direction of the current in the rotor winding, thereby changing the magnetic properties of the winding poles and interacting with the stator permanent magnets to rotate the rotor.
