The rotor is mainly composed of three parts: the rotor core, the rotor winding, and the rotor shaft. The rotor is equipped with a shaft, and there is also a fan for dissipating heat from the motor on the shaft, which is the rotating part of the asynchronous motor.
Rotor core: It is a part of the magnetic circuit of the electric motor, which is made of 0.5mm silicon steel sheets stacked and fixed on the rotor shaft.
Rotor winding: Rotor winding can be divided into cage type and winding type.
Cage rotor: Place a conductor in each slot of the rotor and connect the two ends of the rotor core with end rings to form a closed winding. The material of the guide strip can be cast aluminum or copper. The advantages of squirrel cage rotors are: simple structure, sturdy and durable, reliable operation, high efficiency, easy maintenance, and low price.
Rotor shaft: Generally made of 45 # round steel through machining.
